Window Film Companies Earn Spots in Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500 Ranking

Entrepreneur magazine recently released its 42nd annual Franchise 500 List, which represents franchises across the world that highlights the newest trends and industries that are poised for growth, and several window film business made the listing.

Companies representing the window film industry include Cincinnati, Ohio-based Window Genie, Troy, Mich.-based Ziebart International Corp., and Boca Raton, Fla.,-based Tint World.

Tint World made the list at number 290. The company was founded in 1982 and became a franchise in 2007. The company has 78 shops, adding 23 within the past three years, which represents a 41.8% growth rate.

Tint World is an auto and marine styling and window-tinting franchise that offers sales and installation of auto accessories, mobile electronics, custom wheels and tires, window tinting, security film, vehicle wraps, paint protection film, nano ceramic coatings, detailing services, and maintenance and repair services.

Ziebart, which came in at number 323, was founded in 1959 by Kurt Ziebart, a German mechanic, in Detroit, Mich. The company began franchising in 1963, and now has 387 locations world-wide, with locations in 37 countries.

The company’s offerings include automotive detailing, window tinting, paint protection films, vehicle wraps, ceramic coatings, fabric and rust protection, spray-on bed liners, glass repair, scratch repair, and vehicle accessories.

Window Genie made the listing at number 494. The company was founded in 1994 and became a franchise in 1998. The company has 130 shops, adding 9 within the past three years, which represents a 7.4% growth rate.

Window Genie originally focused only on window cleaning services, but soon added full-service pressure washing, deck cleaning, house washing and concrete cleaning to the roster of its services.
