Founded On Rust Protection
Based on an innovative process developed by Kurt Ziebart to prevent automobiles from rusting, Ziebart International Corporation was founded in 1959. At that time, Kurt Ziebart opened his first location in Detroit, Michigan. The company quickly began expanding into neighboring Midwest cities. In 1963, the first international location was opened in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
We Didn’t Rest With Rust
Over the decades, Ziebart has continued to expand its product offering, as well as develop products and technology to meet the ever-changing market conditions and growing needs of motorists. Once only known for rust protection, Ziebart now offers a full line of appearance and protection services, including professional detailing, paint protection, underbody sound barrier, sprayed-on bed liners, automotive glass repair, window tint, truck accessories, electronics, and scratch repair services.

For the past 15 years, Entrepreneur magazine has named Ziebart International Corporation one of its Top 500 Franchisors. Success magazine ranked Ziebart among its Franchise Gold 100 for four years. The company has also been listed on Income Opportunities’ Platinum 200 list and Franchise Times magazine's inaugural Top 200 list. Ultimately, Ziebart has received recognition from the International Franchise Association, which is the leading organization for franchisors around the world.
Employee-Owned
In 1994, Ziebart International Corporation was bought by its employees through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). This program has fostered employee commitment, dedication, and long-term devotion to building the business.
