You’re partially right! We started out as rustproofers. But, like most things in life that age, we’ve grown, we’ve developed, and we’ve expanded our horizons. Do modern cars even rust?
If there’s one question that we hear more than any other, it’s this one and the answer is a resounding YES! There’s no denying the fact that automotive manufacturing has made tremendous strides in such a short period of time. We’re also not denying the fact that steel is being made better than ever.
What we are stating is a scientific fact - oxidation happens. Despite the factory’s valiant efforts, the corrosion war being waged on your vehicle is constant. Manmade steel is on a never-ending mission to revert back to its natural form.
With all of these advancements, it also means that vehicles last longer and we keep them longer. If you plan on keeping your vehicle for any extended period of time you need to have an ally in this battle, who is with you for the long haul. That’s where Ziebart comes in.
Does Ziebart Undercoating and Rust Protection just trap moisture?
Ziebart Undercoating and Rust Protection is a barrier against moisture and oxygen. Like any barrier that sees daily abuse, over time it can eventually become compromised. If compromised, moisture can get trapped.
This is why we strongly encourage you to have your vehicle inspected annually and make these inspections mandatory to keep your warranty valid. We will continually inspect and repair our work and be under constant watch for potential problems. The decision to have your vehicle “Ziebart’d” isn’t just a onetime fix, it’s an ongoing partnership.
Will Ziebart void my warranty?
This is a completely understandable concern. You paid a lot for your vehicle and you want to make sure you get the most out of it and the manufacturer’s warranty. We want to help alleviate your concerns so we decided to dedicate an entire blog post to this subject. Check it out!
The short answer: Theoretically, it’s possible, but we’ve never heard of it happening. In fact many dealerships use Ziebart to protect their vehicles straight from the factory. If it does void the manufacturer’s rust warranty, our warranty is much more comprehensive when it comes to corrosion damage. We’ve got you covered!
Is Ziebart just for my car?
We here at Ziebart are car people. But that doesn’t mean we only care about/for cars and trucks. Our products have been utilized on a variety of different things in a lot of creative ways from tractors, trailers, and motorcycles, and more! Ziebart has been on more than just your daily commuter.
