Ziebart International Corporation headquartered in Troy, MI presented a charitable donation to Habitat for Humanity of Michigan. Present for the ceremony was Tom E. Wolfe, Ziebart President  and CEO; Sandy Pearson, President and CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Michigan; Mark Lauzon, Ziebart Director of Marketing & Advertising; and Rene Palileo, Director of Fund Development of Habitat for Humanity of Michigan.

As a part of their ongoing charity program, Ziebart headquarters selects a charity to sponsor each year. Throughout the year, the Troy office organizes a number of events to help raise money for the sponsored charity. In years past, Ziebart has sponsored charities such as the South Oakland Citizens for the Homeless, Karmanos Cancer Institute, Make-a-Wish Foundation, American Heart Association and Manna Community Meal (Soup Kitchen). For 2011, Ziebart selected Habitat for Humanity of Michigan as their sponsor charity. According to Lauzon, Ziebart has a long heritage in Michigan having been established here over 50 years ago. “We feel it’s important to give back to our community and it’s even better when we can support a charity organization that is locally based. We knew that by supporting Habitat for Humanity of Michigan we would not only be helping Michigan residents but the local economy as well, and that is a win-win for everyone.”

Funds were generated using a variety of events such as 50/50 raffles, a silent charity auction and even a penny war. “Our goal was not only to raise money for a great organization, but have fun doing it”, says Mr. Lauzon. Ziebart headquarters employs 35 full-time employees and was able to raise $4,000 Habitat for Humanity of Michigan. “I’m amazed each year at the generosity of the staff here at Ziebart. The local economy affects us no different than anyone else and yet we are consistently able to find extra to help those in need,” says Mr. Lauzon.

Ziebart Qatar – NBKS has been operating successfully from its state of the art 1000 square meter at Salwa Road location for the last Five years exceeding customer’s satisfaction with a ratio of over 90 percent with a goal to achieve 100 percent of customer’s satisfaction. The selective services Ziebart is providing with excellent quality is increasing customer’s retention and generating referrals among customers in the automotive industry. “For the past five years there has been strong demand in Qatar for Ziebart specialized services and this demand is set to continue,” Mohannad Al Omran said.

Ed Russell, Technical Manager training visit purpose is to carry utilizing an innovative training program will be able to train to different new products. The training sessions are presented and are tailored according to the needs of the customer’s individual available services.

During his training sessions Russell will be concentrating on the application of Ziebart window tint and paint protection film cut by computer using the proprietary Z-Cutting system. It is only available from Ziebart outlets, and said “if we distribute our film to other companies we could never be sure the correct application standards were being maintained. Ziebart locations use only fully trained and certified technicians to install our film.”

“The training sessions are on job to insure that each technician can produce the best quality with the best efficiency under the supervision of Ed Russell; participants can see and hear the instructor and this allows employees to rehearse, refresh their expertise and ask questions for immediate feedback as per our local customer’s needs. The quality and depth of training is just as thorough as it ever was with more added values for our customers.”

The Training Session turned out to be a particular highlight for workshop customers from Qatar. Beside sales and technology training as well as informative comparative drives during the daily designated events on different services, the technicians were also given the opportunity of carrying physical applications on new enhanced products arriving shortly, he added.

We will be introducing the technicians to the use of Ziebart’s newly formulated three stage polishes. “Whilst Ziebart’s Diamond Gloss paint coating is recognized around the world for its exceptional protective and appearance enhancing characteristics it is still essential that the vehicle be prepared correctly prior to the application of the protective coating.”

Remote starter information and tips from the automotive aftermarket experts at Ziebart highlight what consumers need to know when purchasing a remote starter.

No matter the weather, remote starters are convenient for all seasons! Warm up your car on those frigid winter days from your home or office and watch the snow and ice melt away. The same idea of convenience goes for those scorching summer days where the heat rises to unbearable temperatures inside your vehicle. Simply hit your keyless entry remote and with one touch of a button, drive off in a cooled down car or truck.

You likely have already begun to see advertising for remote starters. Ziebart International, the leader in automotive aftermarket accessories has released the following tips and information to ensure consumers are educated on remote starters so they can make an informed decision on a model that will fit their lifestyle.

What is the cost of a remote starter?  

Remote starters come in a variety of models and can be programmed for a number of features, all of which may impact the price. Don’t be fooled by many low cost advertisements for remote starters which typically don’t include installation, a second transmitter or keyless door entry lock/unlock functions or interfaces that will be required on most vehicles. Be sure to ask what the total price is for everything; you cannot assume that the $79 price you saw in the newspaper is an out-the-door price. There will always be added fees in low priced remote starters as you add additional features to suit your needs.

What is the difference between a basic remote starter and a two-way paging remote starter?

Basic Remote Starters:

Basic remote starters communicate with your vehicle using a small remote transmitter that can be attached to your key chain. These transmitters are about the size of a typical OEM key fob and communicate with your vehicle much the same way your TV remote control communicates with your TV. When you push a button, a signal is sent from the remote transmitter to the remote starter module in the vehicle and it starts your vehicle. These models are priced at the entry level range. There are a number of models in this category. Models at the basic level are usually one-button remote starters that simply start your vehicle. As you move up in price, you can add features as follows:

• Additional remote transmitters
• Door lock and unlock – even one-button remotes can be programmed to lock and unlock your vehicle
• Trunk release – a simple convenience when your hands are full
• Panic button – draw attention to yourself should you feel the need
• Valet mode – allow your mechanic to work on the vehicle safely
• Car locator – prompts your horn and flashes the lights
• Extended range – enjoy a greater remote starting distance

Two-Way Paging:

These remote starters communicate between your vehicle and a remote transmitter providing you with information about your vehicle such as interior temperature, battery voltage, open doors, shock sensor alert, open hood, doors locked/unlocked and more. The transmitter itself also provides some features such as time and alarm clock. The transmitters for these remotes are typically larger and feature an LCD display to clearly display the information about your vehicle’s status. These models are priced at the higher-end range.

What is transmitter range?

Another major difference in the price between remote starters has to do with range. Most entry level models have a range of about 800 ft. while premium models can have a range of 3,000 ft. or more.

Why on earth would you ever need more than 800 ft. of range? For every barrier the signal comes in contact with (wall or window), the signal range drops by about half. If you were in your house, 800 ft. would be plenty of range. However, think about those times when you would want to start your vehicle from inside your office, while sitting in a booth from a restaurant, inside the mall or even from the locker room at your gym. Let’s say you were in your office and you wanted to start your vehicle which was about 900 feet away, but you had to go through a wall and a window to reach it. You would need a remote starter with a range of approximately 3,000 ft. So it’s important to determine how and where you will use your remote starter.
