HOW MUCH OF THE 440,000 TONS OF SALT ON MICHIGAN ROADS IS STILL EATING AWAY AT YOUR CAR?

TROY, Michigan

Ziebart International Corp., the global leader in automotive detailing, films and protection services, is offering an array of discounts and promotions and is inviting driver’s to bring their vehicles in for some tender loving care after winter’s brutal assault to kick-off April as National Car Care Month.

The global company with some 400 stores in the Unites States and in 32 countries says winter was harsh in its home state of Michigan and just about everywhere. The Michigan Department of Transportation or MDOT alone dumped some 440,000 tons of salt on Michigan roads and that does not count what local county and city road departments put on roads to in what has been one of the coldest and snowiest winter’s on record.

“People have had their cars, SUVs and trucks literally pelted with tons of salt, gravel and asphalt from the craters of potholes and all manner of road debris,” said Larisa Walega, Director of Marketing for Ziebart. “We know how much people care for their vehicles and maybe feeling a little guilty about the abuse their ‘babies’ took this winter. We are inviting everyone to visit a Ziebart store and take advantage of an array of automotive spa services and new high-tech products we have to restore and protect your vehicle inside and out.”

Walega, says the company is taking advantage of the National Car Care month by re-introducing the company’s full line of automotive protection products and professional services.

“A lot of people think rustproofing when they think Ziebart – we offer professional detailing services, our proprietary Diamond Gloss® paint restoration and shine product as well as the best Z-Shield® paint protection film on the market,” she said. “As a working mother, I am really proud of our Germ Defender® and other products that clean a vehicle’s interior and help keep it germ-free for months at a time.”

She said the trend is for women to bring their cars in for partial or a full range of vehicle protection services and products for inside and out. “Drop off your car and while you are getting a Mani-Pedi, we’ll put the lip gloss on your vehicle’s shine,” said Walega. “Everyone will notice the Ziebart difference and we often have customer’s tell us their friends and neighbors thought they bought a new car after a detail and Diamond Gloss®.”

“Whether the car is owned or leased, it is a projection of your image,” said Walega. “We are getting increased demand for our Z-Shield® film from women to keep stone chips from damaging their hoods and to protect their door cups from scratches from rings and finger nails. A lot of people are busier than ever and with the cold weather here, they prefer to drop off their vehicles while we bring them back to near showroom shines. Cars are a huge investment and extension of you, it’s time after this spring for a little vehicle TLC, says Walega.

Walega said the company is also offering credentialed media access to its corporate HQ garage for demonstrations on the impact of road salt and winter’s ravages on cars and what the company can offer and free tips on how to best wash and care for your car at home. The company will soon introduce one of its most researched, tested and refined Z-Shield® paint protection film products that has “self-healing” technology that allows for small scratches and marks from automated car washes to ‘cure themselves’ so there appears to be no scratch marks visible to the eye.

“We are really excited about National Car Care month and helping people bring the shine back to their vehicles after a brutal winter across the entire country,” said Walega. She encouraged media and customers to visit www.Ziebart.com for store locations and to make an appointment to take advantage of special offers.
